Caesars Entertainment, Inc. (NASDAQ: CZR) has relaunched its Tropicana online casino in New Jersey. TropicanaCasino.com is owned and operated by Caesars Interactive Entertainment, Inc, an online, mobile and social gaming company that was founded in 2009. It is a subsidiary of the Reno-based hotel and casino entertainment giant.
One of a fast-growing number of USA online casinos for real money, players in the Garden State are now able to access Tropicana via its website or mobile app which can be downloaded on iOS and Android operating systems. The new online casino app experience promises “enhanced functionality” and “improved integration” with its Caesars Rewards loyalty program, according to Caesars’ April 5th press release.
Relaunch & Rebrand
“Caesars has a legacy in New Jersey with a history of providing a best-in-class gaming experience,” said Matthew Sunderland, Senior Vice President of iGaming at Caesars Digital.
“The relaunch of Tropicana Online Casino is an important step in our progression toward providing valued customers with the best iGaming products in the industry. We’re confident this new offering delivers an elevated online casino experience with rewards that can’t be matched, similar to the industry-best experiences customers enjoy at Tropicana Atlantic City.”
Caesars first announced the move, which is basically a rebrand of the CaesarsCasino.com brand, nearly a year ago, with the latter and Caesars Sportsbook NJ merging on March 28. In preparation for the rebrand, Caesars Casino switched platforms in June, with the pair operating separately for nine months.
Seamless Transition
Since Tropicana online Casino has been a part of Caesars since 2018, players need not worry about any major changes as they had already been earning points with their plays, via Caesars Rewards. Ensuring a smooth transition, all player data, including rewards points, login info, and funds, were transferred by Caesars to player’s new Tropicana account. Caesars Casino players, will, however, have to download the Tropicana app.
Once the download is completed, all players need to do is log in as usual and select from a broad range of classic casino games like European and American Roulette, slot games and video poker, as well as Live Dealer Poker, Blackjack and Baccarat much like you’ll find on the casino floor of the Boardwalk resort and casino, Tropicana Atlantic City.
“Tropicana Online Casino enhances the exceptional gaming experience we take pride in bringing to our New Jersey customers every day,” said Joseph Giunta, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Tropicana Atlantic City.
“We are pleased to offer our guests the convenience of enjoying their favorite casino games in a fresh and responsible manner, right at their fingertips.”
In addition to the rebrand and relaunch, and coinciding with National Problem Gambling Awareness Month in March, the Reno-based operator also announced two new policies for responsible gaming. They include a comprehensive universal exclusion policy and an enhanced 21+ gaming policy. The former would see individuals currently on a state-sponsored self-exclusion list added to a universal roll that covers all of its platforms and land-based gaming facilities. The latter restricts Caesars Rewards accounts to individuals over the age of 21, as well as other limits.
USA Online Casinos
According to Statista, as of 2022, approximately half of all U.S. states have legalized or regulated online gambling in some form or another, and more are expected to expand their access in the future. Furthermore, the online platform that specializes in market and consumer data found that nearly 10 percent of all adults in the US bet on in-person and online casino games at least once a week as of September 2021. In another example of the industry’s growth, in 2021, the size of the U.S. gambling market reached US$9.5 billion, increasing significantly from the US$8.7 billion totaled the year prior.
